History: Etsuko is the only daughter to a fairly average family. Her parents are neither too rich, nor too poor and that's the way she likes it. She has two brothers (Hideaki, aged 19 and Kenji, aged 12), which her parents give noticably more attention to. As a result, Etsuko is quite happy to amuse herself and doesn't mind being left out of other people's lives. She also isn't used to having people actually want to be around her and is loyal to the friends that she has.
Appearance: Average is probably the best way to describe Etsuko. She's 5"3, has dark hair and eyes. She's not very interesting looking by choice because it's probably best that way. In this psychotic mess of a world, people that look interesting tend to wind up dead.
Personality INCLUDING three strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths.
Resourceful - Etsuko learned pretty quickly that if she broke something, she was going to have to fix it herself. As such, she's pretty good at fixing things by now.
Loyal - If you're not used to having friends, you cling to the ones you have. She would do anything to keep any of her friends happy and around her and she hopes they feel the same way.
Cynical Yes, that is a strength! - Nothing surprises her anymore. Life isn't a movie where people live happily ever after. People are capable of terrible things. And that's the way it is.
Weaknesses
Quiet - Etsuko knows that the best way to survive is to stay quiet and boring. So she tends to just hang around in the background and get whatever she's been told to do finished on the deadline.
Clumsy - She falls over things. A lot. She fell over a tree once when she was younger. And everyone laughed.
Unfriendly - Usually, she doesn't believe that people actually want to be her friends, so she pushes them away. If they come back, they've passed her test. She doesn't mean anything by it, it's just, in her eyes 'the way it has to be'.
Overnight Bag: Spare clothes, pen, pencil, headache tablets, some money, a CD player with three rock CD's hidden inside government allowed music cases, head phones, a snack and a pack of cards.
Father – Kazuki Minamoto, 41. Owner of a betting shop near to their house, Kazuki works full time and as such, is mostly too tired to talk to his family. This upsets his wife, who believes that he should have spent more time with his daughter.
Mother – Hotaru Minamoto, 39. Works as a nurse part-time in a hospital on the outskirts of Kyoto. She loves all three of her children, but doesn't have enough time to cater to all three equally.
Siblings - Hideaki Minamoto, 19

'Etsuko Minamoto? Who? Oh, her. I'm sorry, I didn't know who you were asking about for a moment. There's nothing I can really say about her. She does her homework as well as everyone else. The only problem I have with her, is that I don't know if she knows how to socialise. And sometimes, her essays are a bit...weird. She doesn't seem to be a resistance member, but sometimes there's just a tiny hint of anti-government sympathy in her writing. I might be imagining it though.'
Classroom Clique: None/sociopaths *Lucy is repeatedly shot*
Any Memorable Moments: The mafia game! Etsuko is going to play mafia at some point. I don't know who with, but she is going to play.
We think Etsuko and Sai had sex at some point. Mostly because Etsuko was drunk. Since Sai didn't remember and Etsuko doesn't want to remember, we're not entirely sure if that's true. Sai had a tendency to rape Etsuko in chats though...*shot*
Friends and Enemies:
Minami Satsuya: Etsuko's not entirely sure exactly how her friendship with Minami works. However, with the occasional problem when Etsuko feels that Minami's being a little too optimistic or when Minami thinks that Etsuko's acting like too much of a cynical jerk, it works out fine. Minami's started to try and teach Etsuko some English. So far, she's not very good at pronouncing it, but she can understand a few words.
Remiyu Yazawa/Sai: Sai was persistant enough to come back to talk to her and study her eyes, so Etsuko talked back. She's not entirely sure how much Sai remembered though. Sometimes, she doesn't even think Sai remembered her name.
Midori Sato: Occasionally Midori makes rumours up about Etsuko. Whenever that happens, Etsuko just rolls her eyes and ignores them. Secretly, she feels that Midori's only making up the rumours to divert people from insulting her about her weight and if anyone ever asked her, she would tell them that. No-one asks, so Etsuko holds her tongue.
Susumu Nichigawa: (NPC) Susumu sees things that Etsuko doesn't want him to see. This makes her a bit nervous around him. They get along, mostly because Susumu is quite similar to what Etsuko would be like if she wasn't introverted. The guitar stunt drew too much attention to himself though.
Aya Eun-Kyung: Neither of them have any need to stand out. Sometimes it does annoy Etsuko if Aya is too cheerful or too much of a romantic, but otherwise she doesn't mind her company. Even if her Japanese isn't amazing.
Kaori Matano: They aren't close. They know each other and Etsuko thinks that Kaori is probably a nice person, but it's from a safe distance. One trusts too much, the other doesn't trust enough, so it probably wouldn't work anyway.
Masayuki Fuji: She likes his attitude. Not enough to adopt it, but enough to not even act cold around him. They talk about things that they shouldn't really talk about and she lent him some rock music once. She never got it back though.
Zen Yukio: Etsuko knows that he's a member of her class, but has never talked to him. She isn't entirely sure on his stance on some of the things that she keeps secret, so she stays away.
